Each time I had previously met with Melissa and George, the weather was wet, including their pre-wedding shoot. Unfortunately their wedding day was threatening to be wet too, but this did not put a dampen on the day’s celebrations.
They were married at the beautiful church in Yarcombe, Devon with friends and family beside them as they made their vows. Their wedding reception was held at The Square & Compass, located in the Somerset Countryside, overlooking the Blackdown Hills. A break in the clouds during the evening, provided beautiful lighting for their newly wed couple photos, which are my personal favourite of the day, especially as Melissa was constantly beaming with smiles, making them both a pleasure to photograph. The flowers they had chosen were a wonderful combination of purples, reds and whites which looked beautiful in the light streaming through the barn windows. The food looked delicious, the desserts especially mouthwatering to someone with a sweet tooth like myself!
When I left in the evening, the celebrations were in full swing, with every guest and the bride & groom having a fantastic time!
So thank you George and Melissa for choosing me to be your wedding photographer – it was a fantastic day and I am honoured to have been there to capture the day for you.
I wish you both a wonderful future together!
