Last year, I ran a competition for a portrait shoot and the winner, Julie, very kindly donated her prize to her beautiful, pregnant friend, Mia. Bump shoots are best done at 36-37 weeks so we had to wait a few weeks before we could do the shoot.
Mia also had an amazing idea – a location shoot at Chalice Well (thank you to Chalice Well for their permission to use the grounds!) along with a painted bump courtesy of Mia’s friend, Beth. I know there were many personal reasons behind Mia’s choice of location and the art design, which makes this session so much more special and I feel very fortunate that I was able to be a part of it.
The week leading up to this shoot was bitterly cold and snowy, although on the day we were blessed with sunshine, if still a little chilly.
I try not to have favourites, but I have to admit I was very excited about this session and the meaning behind it so I would like to say a huge thank you to Mia such an amazing idea and a wonderful shoot. Scroll down for a look at this unique session and I hope you love it as much as I do. I’d love to hear your comments so feel free to leave them below….
